What types of medical assistance do we offer?
We offer three main solutions based on your needs: immediate video consultations, scheduled in-person appointments at our partner clinics, and direct medical visits to your home or hotel.
How quickly can I access medical assistance?
Video consultations and telemedicine services are available almost instantly, including medical prescriptions and requests for diagnostic tests when appropriate. Clinic appointments and home visits are arranged at the earliest possible time, often within just a few hours.
Is the service available everywhere in Italy?
Yes. FastDoctors provides medical assistance throughout Italy, including major cities, smaller towns, islands, and popular tourist destinations. Availability can be checked directly through our Web App.
Can your doctors issue medical prescriptions?
Yes. Following your consultation, our doctors can issue valid digital or paper prescriptions accepted at pharmacies across Italy, allowing you to obtain your medication quickly and easily.
Do you accept international health insurance?
FastDoctors operates on a pay-per-service basis. After your consultation, we provide an official invoice, which can be submitted directly to your travel or health insurance provider for reimbursement.
Can you refer me to a medical specialist if needed?
Absolutely. If a specialist consultation is required, we can connect you with trusted specialists from our extensive medical network across multiple healthcare fields.
Can I use FastDoctors for severe medical emergencies?
FastDoctors is designed for urgent but non-life-threatening medical conditions. In the event of a serious or life-threatening emergency, such as chest pain, severe trauma, or difficulty breathing, please immediately call the European emergency number 112.
How is the consultation price determined?
FastDoctors offers transparent and competitive pricing with no hidden fees or additional charges at the time of payment. Costs depend on the type of medical service requested and the patient’s location in Italy. All payments are processed securely through the international payment platform Stripe.
